Museum bench: 2003 - National Building Museum
This bench was made for an exhibit at the National Building Museum. It was for an exhibit of black and white photography of steelworkers constructing the Disney opera house, designed by Frank O.Gehry. The opera house is clad in huge stainless steel tiles, and the interior is all spruce, so the body of the bench is made from spruce plywood with aluminum (a much cheaper alternative to stainless) tiles.
