Immersive Touch VR: 2005 - Tres Design This project was done in conjunction with some researchers at UIC who had developed a technique for creating a stereoscopic glove box using a standard CRT monitor and stereoscopic flickering goggles. In the work area of the glovebox they had a force feedback device which was overlaid with the image of the tools you were using. It was a pretty cool system that just needed some better housings to make it into a real product instead of a bench top mockup. We didnít have any styling or production restrictions, so I made a metal one, a wooden one, and a plastic one. I think the metal and bent plywood kiosk is the best. Itís modular and visually dynamic enough to draw in investors.
