This was a refresh we did for Trek’s ZipTite helmet retention system. It used the exact same mechanism, but had a 2 sided crank dial. I dunno, there’s not a whole lot to say about it except that it’s way better looking than the first model. I seem to remember having tons of trouble modeling the tortured curved surfaces and I think I even had to put draft on the crazy thing. It may look nice and simple on the outside, but when you realize it has to be injection molded cheaply, it gets much, much, worse.
